Sometime around the turn of the century health & fitness became a fixture in western culture.  Previously it was just basic survival....but now people had more free time and recognized the value of a good diesel.  So modern bodybuilding was born.  Don't let Edward fool you.  Just because he's wearing a 3 piece wool suit doesn't mean he's not serious about his workout.  He's battling harder than the Boer War.  His session is extra grueling because of his poor nutrition.  Hard to build muscle when you only ate a stale scone and a cup of black tea.  Not sure what that apparatus is actually.  Who knows if it's even exercise equipment?  It's probably draining his blood.
